应用 Application：
（1）生物缓冲剂，用在生化诊断试剂盒，DNA/RNA提取试剂盒及PCR诊断试剂盒里。在MS（Murashige和Skoog）培养基中，利用MES水合物对拟南芥幼苗进行了生长研究。在免疫荧光研究中被添加到细胞骨架缓冲液中。
Biological buffering agents are used in biochemical diagnostic kits, DNA/RNA extraction kits, and PCR diagnostic kits. The growth of Arabidopsis seedlings was studied using MES hydrate in MS (Murashige and Skoog) medium. Added to cytoskeletal buffer in immunofluorescence studies.
（2）MES▪H2O也可用作肥皂和香皂中作钙皂分散剂。可替代三聚磷酸钠作低磷或无磷洗涤剂。也可在液体洗涤中作活性物。工业中用作中泡型矿物浮选剂。在皮革脱脂中，染料、颜料、农药中作分散剂、润湿剂。在印刷行业上作脱墨剂。
